John hearts Alisha | New Bern, NC
It's hard to believe so much time has passed since I used to babysit John Jones and my sister. Our families are great friends and he has always been super dear to us. I'm so proud of the man he has become and we LOVE his sweet creative wifey for lifey, Alisha Jones. I was soooo super excited to hear that these two were officially engaged! After their surprise Loverbuns session we knew it wouldn't be long! John Jones is a Marine who was recently stationed in Okinawa and leaving without his gorgeous girlfriend, Alisha, was not an option! She moved over there and they got married in July and had their ceremony with friends and family in New Bern, NC on December 29th, 2012.
Alisha got ready at the Sheraton overlooking the marinas and bridges, absolutely gorgeous! Her amazing bridesmaid who is also a stylist for NY Fashion Week did her hair- gushing over how gorgeous it was!
The fellas got ready at Centenary Methodist Church.
John Jones and his daddy pants crack me up!
Their ceremony was set to start at 3:30 but we all know that wedding days are nenas and can start a bit late, heehee.
The light coming through this stain glass window was sooo pretty!!
The Cinderella carriage is rather fitting for these two. When they were seniors in highschool they were in a play together and Alisha was Cinderella and John was the prince. And here they are now, 10ish years later.
Their entrance to Stanley Hall Ballroom was gorgeous and what an elegant location, the blue walls, huge chandeliers, mirrors lining the far wall, perfect!
Alisha and her dad had the sweetest first dance, full of smiles, tears, laughter and tons of hugs!
Their wedding date is also her Grandma's birthday and they honored her by singing Happy Birthday and a giving her a heavenly cupcake. Her Gma was so surprised and touched.
They cut their cake with John's sword and frolicked downtown with their bridal party.
It couldn't have been a more perfect day. Wishing you all the love, snuggles and smiles the world has to offer. You're the perfect team!
