We are sooo very lucky to have Aunt Grace in our lives, she is 93 years old and has the mind and body of a 40 year old. She is the sweetest, most gentle, FUN and knowledgeable woman I have ever met. She remembers exact dates, times and stories from the early 1900s, even stories from the 1800s. I wish we had gotten to know her much much sooner, she's incredible. She reminds me a lot of my grandma. When I was a kid, all the way through high school, I would go spend several nights a week with her. This is how I feel with Grace, when we arrive, I don't want to leave. I'd like to curl up on her couch and take a nap, cook dinner with her and stay up as late as we can listening to all her stories. Poppy feels the same way, she wakes up and asks to go see Aunt Grace. She loves playing with a little dog toy she has and having her paint her nails. Grace is always so put together, dresses so well, has her nails painted a gorgeous shade of red and a spotless yet homey home and yard. Poppy thinks its so neat that Grace has red fingernails and wants Grace to paint hers. My little girly girl.
