Owens Family Vacation Album 2/3

I love, love, loved Playa Carrillo!  We arrived, and it was even more gorgeous than the internet had promised!  Our lodging over looked the fishing port, a gorgeous sunset with a sandy beach, big rocks and little island right out the sliding glass door.

The water here was very clam, and clear!  The kids brought their snorkel masks from home and had a great time looking at the fish in the rocks.  We found do much sea glass here, mostly brown, white and green, but the occasional blue that makes any Outer Bankser happy!

Just a walk down the beach and we were at Playa Carrillo, the famous strip of palm lined beach.  It absolutely took my breath away.  We every morning on the beach, afternoons at the pool and back to the beach when it cooled off some.

The town of Semara, is just 3km north and we went there to shop at the Pali, eat and look for trinkets to take home.

Our children are so close.  They really are best friends.  We are so thankful for the time we were able to spend together.  No tv, texting, phones, and internet for the most part.  With the sunsetting at 5:30 everynight, we spent most nights playing Scrabble.  The kids went from learning rules and lots of help from mom and dad, to being able to play and be serious competition!  We also played cards, uno, and kept a nightly journal.

The rock behind Dayne, in the picture below, was an object of infatuation with my son and husband.  Not visible in this picture to the left is a little cave.  They spent a hour one day, swimming out, climbing up the rocks and getting beat by the waves, they still couldn't make it around to the cave side, and returned bruised and bloody.  The next day we went out near sunset (also low tide) and could fully walk out there.
