We had an incredible day cruise with East Coast Cruises around Maria Island. It was wild and wonderful, and nothing I would have booked had I read more about it in advance, as we were on the boat from 9-2pm (with a 3yo and a 7yo) without getting off, but I'm soooo happy I didn't read more about it, as it was THE most inspiring trip!

Pops kept comparing the trip and rocks to a book she was reading, "The Seahorse", and they were making up stories about what was happening in the caves, and who lived on the island, they used their imagination all day and made up amazing stories!

Michael was our captain, and was full of information about all the rocks, cliffs, wildlife, and convict housing.  His assistant, Jess, was so kind and helpful! If you find yourself in Tasmania this is not to be missed!!

We saw caves from the ocean, a viewpoint you'd never be able to see without taking this cruise, one of the caves he even takes the boat in, we couldn't because the swell was too large from the wrong direction but we got incredibly close!

At the end of the 9-5 cruise you get to go on the island and explore all the old convict houses and go on bush walks with the kangaroos and wombats. While on the boat we chose to ride inside as we had the girls but you could also ride outside on the top of the boat which would be even more thrilling!!!!
