Christopher hearts Megan | Sanderling Resort

Outer Banks Destination Wedding

Duck, NC

Christopher and Megan were married this weekend at the Sanderling Resort and Spa in Duck, NC.  This is a destination wedding for the couple and all guests, but Megan's family own a vacation home in Duck.  All the girls enjoyed a fun morning at the Sanderling's Spa across the street.

These girls were so fun!  I felt immediately at home with their naughty sense of humor!  Such an easy going getting ready session, mostly laughs and toasts!

The couple brought treats from the ATL. Coca-Cola bottles were the table markers and favors for the guests, bringing a little piece of Atlanta to the OBX.

Megan and Chris wanted to do a first look before the ceremony. We headed out to the beach, with prefect blue bird skies and a light ocean breeze, it was perfect!

After the couple had a bit of alone time, we brought family and wedding party down to the beach. This was Megan's dad's first reaction to seeing his baby girl all dolled up!

They had the sweetest ocean front ceremony! Tears all around! Right after being pronounced 'Husband and Wife" by Rev. Jay Bowman, the couple stopped to give mom's and dad's hugs and kisses before heading back down the aisle.

Renee Landry Events did all the flowers and wedding design. The wedding spanned from an ocean side Ceremony and Sanderling lawn for Cocktail Hour to sound side Pavilion for Reception.

Megan's dad watching his daughter dance with Chris to 'Thinking out loud' preformed live by The Dickens Band from Greensboro, NC.

Megan and her dad shared a sassy little dance!  Upbeat and fun, causing happy tears for younger sis nearby.

Great Cakes did a beautiful job on the couples wedding cake. With the motto "Best Day Ever" throughout the wedding, also being the cake topper.  Megan is a surgeon, but was a bit unsure cutting into the cake.  For her patients sake, I hope she keeps that look out of the OR!

Alicia and her crew at the Sanderling had the wedding running smoothly so everyone could sit back and enjoy this beautiful event!

The Sanderling chef's cooked up a Mac'n Cheese bar, with fresh meat and veggies to add in and cooked right there, an antipasto bar with meat carving station and a shell fish bar.  Along with a wedding cake and a groom cake, the couple had a donut bar brought in later that night!  I'm sure everyone went home with full bellies!

The Dicken's Band did a phenomenal job of getting the crowd pumped!!! They played all genre's of music and had everyone participating! I haven't seen such a dance party in quite a while!

After many, many requests, the band finally played "Wagon Wheel", (NC's unofficial state song?) and half of the guests made an on-stage to sing.

Congrats to you two on this new chapter in your lives!! Thanks for having us to document your day!
